Unfortunately
there are times today's travelers may encounter snags that interrupt
their itineraries. Such interruptions have the possibility of being
more than inconvenient and may result in altering an otherwise pleasurable
trip to that of a stressful experience. In an effort to assist you in
planning a stress-free trip MySiquijor.com offers the following information.
Traveling to the Philippines
Philippine Airlines as well as some others offer flights that enable
passengers to pass customs and immigration in Cebu (Mactan International
Airport), thus eliminating what can occasionally be a hectic experience
at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport in Manila. Some airlines (such
as Cathay Pacific) fly via Hong Kong or other cities outside of the
Philippines direct to Cebu eliminating making a connection in Manila.
Of course there is also the option of using a connecting flight out
of Manila and flying into Dumaguete. Many travelers prefer to stay a
minimum of one night in Cebu City upon their arrival, before their departure,
or as a way to "break-up" their stay in Siquijor. Staying
over in Cebu City is an excellent way to "freshen up" prior
to traveling on to Siquijor. Also it is a wonderful place to pick up
those last minute souvenirs and to confirm travel prior to departure.
